I don't think anyone has mentioned this, but many of the iMacs, eMacs, and
iBooks that are only supposed to support monitor MIRRORING can actually
support monitor SPANNING as well with a small patch.

Apparently the hardware was always there, but Apple just did not enable it
to encourage people to purchase more expensive computers (Like Powerbooks)
if they wanted monitor spanning.

Note that this is not official Apple software, and messing with this kind of
thing could mess up your Mac, void your warranty, etc. etc.
