Hi LeaAnne,

No problem..I just wanted to set the record straight :-)
Thank you for note below. I appreciate it.

Amber,

I apologize, that was not directed at you.

I thought I deleted all of the replies, again I apologize.

I know you did not accuse anyone. I read your post.

Hey,

I did not make a single accusation in my note. I made two separate statements - one about organization and one about piracy. I even said in the last sentence in the second paragraph that I was not accusing the writer of either of these things and that simply, Tim should not be crucified for his opinion.

I didn't say anything about lack of organization=theft either. Try reading my note again, this time from beginning to end. You're so concerned about me accusing somebody falsely, and then you turn around and do precisely the same thing to me !

And too, some people just don't care where they put the disks. I have disks
scattered all over the house. Ranging from Macromedia Studio, to Mac OS's, and
I only know where a few of them are off the top of my head without having to dig through boxes to find them. That doesn't mean I didn't purchase them, it just means, that once I use them, I put them in a place where I think I won't forget where they are, and then when I need them it's like, "Where the heck did I put those?"

If you want to voice your opinion that's fine, but don't make accusations at someone
just because they're not like you.

Don't be ridiculous ....Tim didn't crucify the guy - he was simply questioning why he didn't have the original CD.
What he is suggesting is not so out of this world - keeping your install/system CD's in one place, in a clearly labeled box is considered a basic organizational skill , not rocket science. I, for instance, have never had occasion to roll over a disk and destroy it because I don't keep my disks scattered all over the floor. When you can spend over $1200.00 for a single program CD (i.e. Photoshop), doesn't it make sense to keep them stored properly and labeled for easy access ?

As to the issue of piracy, it's not unreasonable to question whether a program disk was obtained through illegal channels. Piracy is rampant these days. I have no problem paying for the programs I need but I do have a problem supporting those who have obtained a free copy of a program through piracy or who have obtained a stolen computer without the necessary system disks. I am not saying the original writer did either of these things but I just don't think that criticizing Tim for raising some valid points is the way to go.
