Don't be ridiculous ....Tim didn't crucify the guy - he was simply questioning why he didn't have the original CD.
What he is suggesting is not so out of this world - keeping your install/system CD's in one place, in a clearly labeled box is considered a basic organizational skill , not rocket science. I, for instance, have never had occasion to roll over a disk and destroy it because I don't keep my disks scattered all over the floor. When you can spend over $1200.00 for a single program CD (i.e. Photoshop), doesn't it make sense to keep them stored properly and labeled for easy access ?


As to the issue of piracy, it's not unreasonable to question whether a program disk was obtained through illegal channels. Piracy is rampant these days. I have no problem paying for the programs I need but I do have a problem supporting those who have obtained a free copy of a program through piracy or who have obtained a stolen computer without the necessary system disks. I am not saying the original writer did either of these things but I just don't think that criticizing Tim for raising some valid points is the way to go.
