If I activly put it to sleep everything turns off , HD, fan and all,
but when I just leave it, the fan stays on.

All the sleep options are on.

The fan SHOULD stay on for a short time after you sleep the computer -- it is bringing the temperature down to where a resting machine should be. Many automobiles do exactly the same thing after being turned off -- run the fan to continue cooling the engine.

If your fan is staying on for an excessively long time after being put to sleep, it's likely that the firmware controlling the fans needs adjustment. Take it in for servicing.
