Set up a "hot corner" in the screen saver preference panel. Instantly put it in the screensaver mode. Select require password to wake and any nosy coworkers will be excluded.
I did that already. The problem is that I'd prefer a key combination. Those are much less likely to be activated by accident than screen corners.
Just Control+ eject will bring up a restart-sleep-shutdown panel anytime you want.
But I don't want to put my computer to sleep every 10 minutes or so (that'd happen on a hectic day), as it's probably not very healthy for the machine.
PCs have the Windows+L key shortcut that is perfect for this purpose...
