Now is the time to show her the advantages of Macintosh. Tell her we never have to deal with this sort of crap, or the myriad other problems PC users have.
As for a direct answer, I'm not even going to get NEAR Windows networking for less than $75/hour, so I'll just direct you to macwindows.com and wish you a lot of luck -- you'll need it.

unfortunately, she doesn't appreciate the Mac, even after these types of situations (which happen all the time), so I figure she can suffer for her decisions. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.
