Are your running the latest AW 6.9.2 update from July for OS X? It made a difference in responsiveness. My only complaint with AW 6.9.2 is it displays Helvetica in the ugliest type around. (It prints fine, it's just the display that is ugly) AW has two separate versions one for OS9 and one for OSX. The OS9 version is slow on OSX.Hi Jack,
You make a good point. I keep forgetting not everyone knows me and my machine ;o) So I hope this is enough info: Using 10.3.5 in my 15" flat panel iMac G4, 700 GHz, with 768 RAM and 40 GB free space on my HD, I find Apple Works 6 to be a slower than using OS 9.2.2 on my old iMac G3 400 MHz with 512 RAM. Does anyone know why, or if I can improve it?
No that should not be it. My daughter ran it under 10.3.5 on her Summer 200 G3 350 iMac and it was adequately responsive.
Maybe OS X is just such a huge monster, like Windows, I can't get any more speed out of it with the 700 MHz processor. If that's the case I can live with what I have.
