I'm sorry, but I don't believe a word of it. Could be I'm wrong,
of course, but I don't think so.

I thought we were discussing technical issues here...

I regularly buy second hand CDs too as I collect a lot of older
music and some of THESE disks also have the odd blemish that
is not visible but shows up when iTunes stalls.

So back to my question about iTunes stalling/crashing when a
damaged disk is being encoded.

Isn't this a bit weak that one has to force quit iTunes because
of this ???
