Ok....

I saw that the 'button' was the small bit of plastic around the LED - 
pressed it, LED cane on, got a startup chime, HD spun up, but no monitor. It 
flashed green briefly after being on for about 15 seconds, and again when I 
powered it off.

Any ideas, lol?
