I still use Classic to run SoundEdit16 version 2. I do a lot of sound
editing and mixing (up to 30 separate tracks in one file) and nothing
available for OS X is as easy and uncomplicated to use. I do my processing
work on vintage audio (mostly noise reduction, adding reverb, etc.) in Spark
XL for OSX, and then do my mixing with SoundEdit16 in Classic mode. So far,
there just isn't one program that can do it all and still be that easy to
use under OS X. Sure, SoundEdit16 is very limited in what it can do in some
aspects, but over the years I've developed many work-around solutions to get
past its limitations. If it weren't for that one program, I wouldn't use
Classic at all.
