It was clean... sometimes I think I'm the only person in the world who
*does* clean their mouse:)

I figured that was most likely the case... just picked up a new hockey
puck from my friendly local mac store and it's working fine.

That's sad... I know most people think the hockey puck mice are too
small but I rather like them... for one thing, since my desktops (both
physical and virtual) tend to be crowded I like a mouse that doesn't
take up much space.

I try to Nortonise my Mac every month anyhow. Since I didn't have a
spare USB mouse to try I figured I'd see if it wasn't some exotic
software problem.
