I thought of using it, but decided it was going to be more effort.
XPostFacto needs to be launched from a booted machine. I was replacing
the hard drive when I did the upgrade. That meant for me to use
XPostFacto, I had to first install something on the new hard drive to
boot the iMac, then run XPostFacto, then do the Tiger install (and
reformat the drive again during the Tiger install).

For me, since I had a firewire iMac sitting here ready to go, and a
firewire case sitting here ready to go, and I had to pull the hard drive
from the 333 anyway... it was just easier to go the firewire route.

XPostFacto is definitly an option, and I may go that route in the future
if I have other "unqualified" iMacs I want to upgrade.

Oh, and although it wasn't an issue for me, others should note, any
"qualified" mac has a DVD drive, any "unqualified" mac likely has a CD
ROM drive, so unless you have Tiger on CD, or a bootable DVD drive for
the unqualified Mac, XPostFacto won't do you any good anyway simply
because you won't be able to use the Tiger disc. (I happen to have Tiger
on both DVD and CD, so that wasn't an issue for me)
