Hi there, I movd recently from PCs to Mac, and I am extremely happy with the overall performance. However I do understnd the frustration while using iPhoto. I found on the web ACDSee which is a great browser and also allows you to rename batcches of photos (thousands at a time). When it come to editing I use Photoshop and now aperture (still learning). ACDSee is free (trial version) and will not expire. I used the same photo browser in Windows and this is why I am using it now.
