I'm pretty sure when using GC's slide show ability, you can delete the original while in the slide show. There is a little trash can icon, and I'm 99% sure if you click it, the file currently being viewed is moved to the trash. In the Browse Folder feature, I don't see anything to trash the file from the main window, but of you control click on the thumbnail, a rather extensive menu pops up and one of the options is to move the file to the trash.
