I think you will find that Zip was very popular in the day and as a  
result, used drives and disks can be had for next to nothing.  
SuperDisks on the other hand were not as popular, so they aren't  
flooding the used market as much, thus will carry a higher price.

If you plan to have several disks, you may find it cheaper in the  
long run to use Zip for your backups and if a need for a floppy drive  
should actually arise, buy a USB floppy drive at that point.
