Thanks for the confirmation that there is something wrong with the dot
dmg file because i was working up the courage to run an archival update
of SnowLeopard.
Is there any other utility application that will "mount" a dot dmg file ?
Have you tried downloading it again? Usually if it won't mount it is due
to file corruption or damage.
