Sorry, if I presented the wrong 'attitude' in my earlier message. It is NEVER
my intent to present any 'attitudes' in my mail. The ONLY thing I am trying to
do is to present information.
The real intent of my message was to address some mis-information or
mis-interpretation of the capabilities of WS_FTP Server and present the real
information and capabilities of our products.
Maybe, that is the biggest problem with this list. There are many responses to
question and even thou we all try to give correct information, bad information
does get here, too. There are many people on this list who are quite
knowledgable about our products and without mentioning any names, I think you
all know who they are. We should all thank them for their dedication and
efforts.
It is important that we all use our judgement about the knowledge presented
here. The first answer might not be the 'right' or complete answer. People
often 'react' to email when they should take a minute to think about their
interpretation of a message and to frame an answer with the understanding of
their current frame of mind. I would be a fool if I did not admit that it does
happen to me, too. But, as this is my job, I do try VERY hard to keep my
answers concise, professional and without any attitudes.
BTW, these are MY opinions and NOT necessarly those of Ipswitch.
It think that is the best feature of this list, that it is a group of people
with a common cause and the ability to look at issues without emotion (OK,
sometimes!) in the attempt to find out more and resolve the troubles of
others.
I'd also like to thank those who defended me. It is encouraging that they have
the sensibilities to not read any emotions into email. It is a lesson that we
all should take to heart.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. I see that I was not succesful in reducing the
number of messages on the list ( mu second intention) so I guess that means I
am a little frustrated. Oh well, maybe next time...
