We have just installed Imail on NT running service pak5. We have all the
configuration settings in correctly, or so it seems. We have been over the
entire setup with Ipswitch support. Everything works great most of the
time. Then the service suddenly slows down enough so anyone using a mail
client such as Netscape mail, Outlook, Eudora, etc. cannot send or receive.
The server seems to be bogged down even though a check of the services on
the machine indicate otherwise ( idle process between 85 to 99% and nothing
indicating excessive usage.)
The Queue is functioning normally and messages are not staying there for an
excessive period.
This usually happens in the evening but occasionally during the daytime
hours.
The puzzling thing is that the service functions normally most of the time
and has these spells where it does not.
Has anyone had a similar problem or have any suggestions?
