FYI, there is no one "SORBS" spam databases -- they have a number of
different spam databases. That doesn't matter much, but can be
helpful information in some cases.

They did the same thing to me. They made me jump through hoops (such
as signing up for an account there), only to say that in some cases
they simply won't remove IPs, even if they do not meet their listing
criteria. It's "Guilty until proven innocent", with no way to prove
innocence.

I find that only a small percentage of mailservers block based on any
of the SORBS spam databases. For those that do, I forward the bounce
message (usually with my originally response to them removed, so they
can't just simply forget about it), and a note about how they need
better anti-spam software (which if they are blocking *just* based on
a SORBS test is true).
