How was the migration to SmarterMail? Pretty straight forward? I am
playing with the demo myself and am very happy with it and the PRICE! I can
afford an email server software again.

What add-ons are you using for AV and/or Antispam? Is it included? I see
Declude works with the, but it is pricey. I can't justify that expense for
Declude. If I could, then I would have stuck with Imail.

Does SmarterMail support connection filtering bypassing the last machine?
Meaning if I have a store and forward or a gateway scanner, can SmarterMail
be configured to ignore the last connection and use the one prior to that
connection?

Thanks for the info....it is helpful in my decision making for the budget
bny the end of the month for next year. Unless, as I told Kevin, Imail
really steps up, my budget is going to be allotted to SmarterTools.

Regards,

Travis

Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Upcoming Pricing.

We dumped imail in favor of smartermail. CPU resource on the server is now
much, much lower. We can send ten times the numbers of emails in the same
time it took imail to spool out the mail. Smartermail is much less
expensive too. As far as features go we haven't really found anything that
imail had that we miss.

There were a couple of things smartermail was lacking being a less mature
product but those are expected to be taken care of with the new version of
SM next month. They were features we haven't used in the past but thought
they might be useful in the future.

I still lurk on this list as sometimes there are general email topics that I
find useful.
