No reason to keep them. I think many of us schedule processes that run nightly to clean up the spool.

We run about 125-150K messages a day (96-98%) filtered out by Declude, but in general we only have approx 300 or so files in the spool. I have my QueueMon settings to alert us when it gets over 500. You need to start looking at those files and figure out what is wrong.
