Ok, that sounds reasonable, and I'll leave it at that.

The same type of mbx locking situation mentioned in the KB, where they talk 
about a static lock pb requiring service stop/start. Mine is clearly 
intermittant, and coincidence of POP3 pickup with SMTP delivery is imaginable.
