Everyone knows the users if they had their way would not even use a
password.

The questions specifically was is there any feature within Imail 2006 that
can force users to have strong passwords. No different than what we have to
deal with in AD - but fortunately we have some control there.

If there is no feature within 2006 I would like to see this request be added
to the "wish list". Also, please add "history" to the request - can't use
the same password within x days.

Darrell

Subject: [IMail Forum] Strong Password enforcement

Is there a way in Imail 2006 using Imail database to enforce strong
passwords?

For information, my idea of a strong password is the following:

12 plus alphanumeric characters with at least 3 letters and 3 numbers and
contains no proper words or the user name.
10 plus alphanumeric and special characters with at least 3 of the following
4 items; one small letter, one capital letter, one special character, one
number and contains no proper words or the user name.
8 plus alphanumeric and special characters with at least 1 of each the
following 4 items; one small letter, one capital letter, one special
character, one number
