Don't forget there are other options to ASSP, I can see it's advantages - OpenSource and community based etc. but do consider other options such as VamSoft's ORF which runs under IIS. If your an MS bod then using the very stable IIS SMTP service does make sense and the pricing of VamSoft ORF is very reasonable, needless to say cheap. No, I'm not taking a commission either ;) just offering an alternative. It's also exceptionally easy to set up and run and handles the 500k emails/day we're seeing now with absolute ease.
Sitting in front of our IMail server it has rescued an ageing server from the scrap heap back to it's original high performing self of yesteryear. However do be aware of the pitfalls of greylisting, they are few but need to be considered and dealt when customers are compalining of delayed or non-delivered email due to poorly configured MTA's.
