Dan,
Tyran's comment appears to indicate that the period character is
what is different between Outlook Express and Outlook 2000... with
Outlook 2000 substituting some other punctuation character for the
period (IN THE BODY)? That's what is different about his rule --
he's accepting ANY punctuation character before the v-b-s (without
hyphens). It may be that some other email clients use some other
punctuation character at that point as well.
Yet your findings (with the IMail tech rep) suggest a more universal
syntax in the Headers.
