I realize that this message is off the main topic of this list, but given
the vast wealth of knowledge and experience held by those that post here I
thought I'd ask for some recomendations on where to look.
I need to implement some type of network fax server software/hardware in a
small business. We are currently still using a traditional standalone fax
machine to service incoming and outgoing faxes for a business of
approximately 50 employees. As a bare minimum, I would like to be able to
send outgoing faxes from Windows desktops, mainly NT and 2000, and ideally
handle both incoming and outgoing faxes.
We currently use an Imail server for email (no exchange server.) Outlook is
the main email client and at least half of our users use the web mail
interface to some degree in addition to Outlook. I only anticipate using one
phone line.
Is there a solution out there that will integrate with Outlook and support
some degree of manual routing for incoming faxes? For outgoing faxes a fax
printer driver would be ideal to allow printing from all windows apps.
I have zero experience in this area and would appreciate any ideas/thoughts
from the experts. If someone could just point me in the right direction.
I apologize to those with no interest or knowledge in this area and hope
they can overlook this post.
Thanks
Dan Spangenberg
