I am running IMAIL with 130,000 users. Some, not all, like to be able to
read HTML Newsletters they subscribe to without using outlook express or
something particularly as my members are students (who travel around a bit).
Unless IMAIL stops butchering the HTML source within the email the people
who use the software, ie IMAIL's customers' customers) will stop using the
software, and believe me nobody wants that. - I don't fancy migrating
130,000 of anybody's IMAP accounts.
I don't want to come across as one of those wierdo's who go on and on. Am I
asking too much?, I've been a developing commercial software now for over 10
years and I see the need to strip out some things from an HTML email that
may cause HARM, but i don't see the need to replace white space in the html
source of an email with <BR>'s and  's when rendering to the screen.
I would really like this explained, I'm confused (if it didn't replace the
white space with most HTML formatted emails would look good.

People like html in web messages. They really like it. Wen they
send a picture of their new baby, their new house or their fat
rear end through then net, they want the image to be seed when the
email is opened. As a marketing person, i do as well. I can sell
10 times as much if the picture replaces 1,000 words.
...
Remember a phrase from the Godfather, "your enemies always grow
strong on what you leave behind?
It's true.
