not on the 4 or 5 lists where I've seen the AOL accept/no-deliver pb discussed.

They can't reverse the client MTA's ip address, they'd blow off half
of internet mail. They do DNS validate @senderdomain as existing,
but they reject the offender's mail immediately with an error msg.

I don't remember that point, but I do remember one Imail admin having
this pb with his mail server, but when he relayed his Imail through a
friend's gateway, it was delivered to the AOL accounts. Sorta like
his own ip was blacklisted. IIRC, his Imail had correct reverse, so
that wasn't his pb.

It's much better to tell your clients that an AOL MX gateway accepted
your clients' mail with no errors or bounces, but then AOL just fails
to deliver it to the AOL mailbox.
Tell your clients to ask their AOL recipients to complain to AOL
about "AOL losing the mail".
Be ready with your Imail logs to show that you delivered and AOL accepted.
