It definitely is.  They are two very different products (whether or not 
Microsoft may have used bind code in their DNS server).

Bind is the program that all the root servers use, and you can't get more 
traffic than they do.  I'm sure they are all running Unix and not NT, but 
they *are* running bind.  From what I understand, the NT version of bind 
isn't being updated aside from security fixes as needed, but I don't see 
that as a problem.
