I have faced this problem and in our situation it was our Proxy server that
was the culprit. Having my clients set their proxy settings to bypass the
proxy for our mail.ourdomain.com solved the problem.

Subject: [IMail Forum] WebMail and Attachments

I have written here before and everyone seems to be quiet about this, so I
ask again...

Why are most e-mail attachments when using webmail corrupted and are fine
when using a standard e-mail client like Eudora? Is this a documented
problem? We purchased this software because of the webmail feature,
otherwise we were perfectly happy with our old e-mail server software. I
have people waiting for deployment, yet I can;t give it to them, because
they will be sending and receiving attachments frequently. What's going on?

Any insight would be helpful.
