Telnet from one of their machines to your SMTP server on port 25. If
you get an SMTP greeting from your Imail server ("220 X1...") then the
machine has the ability to initiate an SMTP session. If not, you
probably have a routing and/or DNS issue which is causing the machines
to be unable to connect to the server.
If you get the session via Telnet but OE still fails, I'd be
surprised.
