I use GDataPipe to route a high port like 10025 to port 25 and tell me
clients to reconfigure their email packages if they are sending from an
ISP that blocks port 25.

The only downside to GDataPipe is that it doesn't run as a Service, so I
have to wrap it with FireDaemon.

I tried using RelayTCP in the past, while it worked great, it often just
stopped for no apparent reason :(

NEW! - GDataPipe now runs as a service!

I have tried numerous times to get my client to use webmail. There were
totally against it (don know why...)

Anyways, I think I convinved them to leave Verizon and use my dial-up
service.

Thanks for all input from everyone.

Not to beat a dead horse BUT. Is your client completely opposed to
replying through the web messaging? Maybe then you could setup the mail
client as an IMAP if they need to see what they've sent (I don't know
how slow that would be with dial-up). Just a suggestion...

Try having your client open a command window and telnet to port 25 or
110:

telnet mail.server.com 25
telnet mail.server.com 110

They should get a response from both if they have SMTP passed through
the Verizon firewall. If they get through, then the problem is on the
client or server. If not, then the problem is with Verizon.

Try having them increase their timeout settings in their mail program...
