Eric,

How well put. As long as you got on the personal stump, so shall I:

The changes in the admin are great. Ironically I used it today to add a
rule which saved me logging into the box. I can't believe we lived without
that. Now, if you could only make the listsrv as robust ;) lol.

Over the years (yes years) you (yes u personally) and your staff have always
been helpful here on the forum. More_so than any other medium of help I
have ever used to diagnose a problem. Period. Thank you.

I asked this once before and got no response, so I want you to see it: Can
u change the dns formatting in the ADMIN entries to allow for separators
other than the ; ???? like : or , or a space etc BETWEEN the DNS's? Its a
REALLY simple thing that is sure picky for setting things up when changing
DNS or moving a server and u have much more to worry about than the correct
separator for the digits. Just a thought to help improve on your product we
have used all these years with your help.

Bryan

Hmm, what in remote management would you like to see? Have you tried the
remote management from within the IMail administrator? Basically you open
IAdmin on your local box and connect to the remote server and you have
approx 95 % of the capability as if you were sitting in front of the
console. An no, before someone asks, you don't (do not) need a full install
of IMail (read this as extra license) on the machine you use to connect to
the mail server.

As for participation on the list, we are encouraged to participate but are
limited in where we can. Policy isn't to be discussed. Personal opinions
have been turned into gospel just because we have an Ipswitch return address
and yes there is no way to track the time we put into it. As everyone knows
this is a "user" community and not the avenue for official support. All of
that being said we do monitor this list very closely as this is the voice of
our customers. This is also the quickest way we hear of any issues. Albeit
they are not coming in through the "official" channel, we do look into them.
Case in point, the X1 in the SMTP banner.

Personally I get a lot of good info from participating in this forum and use
this info to help others when I can. It does also spur discussion among the
support team. It is an invaluable learning tool for new techies as well as
us older dogs. You guys/gals really push the envelope in amazingly creative
ways that make us dig deeper to try to understand just how some of this
works. In my opinion (there's that word) I think this is one of the biggest
mindshare of knowledge I have ever seen around a product that was sponsored
by a manufacturer that wasn't strictly moderated for content. I have always
tried to contribute and plan to keep doing so.
