I'm not sure if this will be helpful... It's an ugly solution to a slightly different problem, but I also wanted to customize the "secure" link at the bottom of the pages. I'm not sure if it would be the same in 7 (I still use 6), but I copied the whole contents of the Imail\Web directory into each alternate domain's directory (Imail\domain.com\Web). Then I edited the correct files in the web directory to change the scripted reference to the secure site to be something hardcoded.
One problem is that Imail only supports a single SSL certificate. This creates a situation where everyone either has to go through an error screen when they go to the secure site (because the certificate doesn't match the host name) or everyone has to log onto the master domain as [EMAIL PROTECTED] instead of just user. At any rate it shouldn't be necessary for everyone to have an account on the master domain. The worst case scenario is that everyone has to login as [EMAIL PROTECTED] I hope this information is useful and has something to do with your question....
