Hello Robert, > Sorry, I meant 0+1. It'll have 1 gig RAM. Lots is 200 - 300K on a heavy > day. Size is 30Kbytesish, each (html e-mails, mostly).
Okay, 200-300k is a lot. How many users? External database? All using web mail, pop, or imap? Would still seems as though dual 1.4Ghz cpus should be enough. Even with 300k outbound mails/day that is still "only" 25k/hour (over 12 hours) -- not so many, especially since the since is fairly small. > Right now, it appears that we max out on CPU, not on connectivity (dual > 1Ghz, 10K drives). I was able to find our systems bottlenecks this way.
