There really isn't anything you can do from the IMAIL server standpoint if that's what you are asking. I don't remember seeing any client fixes for this suggested. Best thing for users to do is change to a better client, not check email too quickly, and keep messages cleaned off the server. But about all you can do there is offer advice.
