I don't know if my problem is similar with yours, but for sure was
looking the same: I was receiving each message twice, even three times -
but this was only in Outlook (same when tried in Outlook Express). On
web page everything was normal. I have to mention I was (and I still)
using 4-5 different email addresses.

Today I've changed something: now in Outlook I have set only one email
account, and then for all other addresses I have put forward to this
one. Now I have no problem anymore.

I still don't know exactly what was wrong, why now is ok, I'm just happy
I have one problemm less.

I hope this will be for some help.

Bogdan

We have this occuring on some of our clients. It usually happens when
they come back from vaction and get their mail. It downloads everything
but doesn't delete the messages. I've tried this with one users account
and it marks all the messages as read on the web mail but does not
delete them. We currently have to purge the messages for the users or
they need to log onto webmail to purge them themselves. Any other ideas
or ways the clients mail clients could be configured?

On a couple of occasions I've had problems with duplicate emails in
Outlook. Both times it turned out to be how I setup "rules" for
processing incoming messages. I'm not sure if that would apply here.

Will most likely find same for Outlook 2002. I did. Awhile back also
plagued with similar duplicate problem. Terry's advice corrected it for
me. Outlook at home and office set at different time intervals (i.e.
Check mail at Home every 15 minutes, Office every 10 minutes). Since the
time I changed, no more duplicates!! HTH

Terry,
Thanks for the advice, . I knew something was broken in Outlook's
caching service..(If you checked the link I gave below, the second one,
talking about broken UIDL ) I know I can't do anything from the Imail
server standpoint since this is a war against 2 mail clients of the same
company.. I'm going to move on and test Outlook 2002 for this reason.
Thanks anyway, Serhan.
