Hi All. I'm having an odd problem that is probably more related to Win2K
Server
than IMail, but maybe someone has run across this before doing the same thing.
I'm trying to migrate servers. The problem I am having is in the simple
act of copying
files from one machine to the other. Both are Win2K Servers. I'm trying
to copy to
the target machine. It starts copying, hangs up quickly, and reports:
cannot copy Image: the specified network name is no longer available
- or -
cannot copy directorylist: the specified network name is no longer available
... depending on whether I'm copying a bunch of files or a bunch of folders.
I've tried copying from the source machine to other machines on the
network. No problem.
The new machine is a fresh install of Win2K, Service Packs, Hot Fixes,
etc... all in there.
I don't think it's an NTFS / permission issue, or not even one file would
copy over.
The machines are ALL in an NT4 domain structure (just about the last machine
in the network is the old PDC). But even with that, I can copy between the
other
Win2K server machines just fine - just not the new one.
They do see each other in the neighborhood network. I can open the machine.
I can access shared folders.
Any ideas? I've been pulling hair out over this one for about a day
Thanks
Chris
