Was it really 'broke' as you say? I was under the impression that the
Microsoft patch just skewed the gui for the IMail admin interface - which is
really no big deal. I believe the Microsoft patch was to fix an issued if
'someone' had physical access and logged onto your servers console. As
stated, in many previous post, IMail could have easily been managed many
different ways like via the web interface or port 8181. From what I also
gather is that this was a Microsoft muck up and them alone. My only thought
on this would be that Microsoft will find that they really hadn't 'patched'
their software correctly and will probably have to issue yet another patch
for this patch. Kind of reminds me of when they 'patched' windows terminal
server. Those whom had quickly installed the patch found themselves without
the ability to use terminal services for about 2-3 weeks. So.. as a
suggestion and only a suggestion.. don't immediately install patches. Wait
until the 'others' install them and see what happens 1st. If the patches
via Microsoft pertain your environment then install them but always
remember - no software company is perfect. If it isn't broken then don't
fix it can apply sometimes and to me this was one of those situations.

FWIW IPSwitch has issued a fix for Microsoft's problem and I believe as of
today all of the IMail owners have been notified via link for the hotfix.
