Re: [IMail Forum] SMTP AUTH Serious Problems on Saturday 2:21:42 PM

Eudora log shows :

Sat Jan 25 15:04:00 2003
Version 4.3.2
1480 64:0.0 Rcvd: "220 X1 NT-ESMTP Server io.wyndows.com (IMail 5.05 2225-2)\r\n"
1480 32:0.0 Sent: "EHLO thor.io.wyndows.com\r\n"
1480 64:0.0 Rcvd: "250-io.wyndows.com says hello\r\n"
1480 64:0.0 Rcvd: "250-SIZE 0\r\n"
1480 64:0.0 Rcvd: "250-8BITMIME\r\n"
1480 64:0.0 Rcvd: "250-DSN\r\n"
1480 64:0.0 Rcvd: "250-ETRN\r\n"
1480 64:0.0 Rcvd: "250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN CRAM-MD5\r\n"
1480 64:0.0 Rcvd: "250-AUTH=LOGIN\r\n"
1480 64:0.0 Rcvd: "250 EXPN\r\n"
1480 32:0.0 Sent: "AUTH CRAM-MD5\r\n"

Then nothing happens. Outlook just stopped working on both my test
machines, so I had to go back to the old config. I tried without a
firewall and all still seems not to work. I have too many upset users
now. Not sure at all what is going on at this time. It is a 2.8GHz 1GB
ram on NT4SP6a. There is no other software running but Imail and
BlackIce. Port 25 is open completely in the BlackIce settings. I have
'SMTP Auth reporting' unchecked. I might try a reboot to no firewall
then try again. It feels like a firewall thing because it is stopped
in process. Eudora appears to be trying the right thing above,
correct?
