What is the verdict of this issues?. Are we waiting for a fix from Ipswitch?
If you read the entire thread, you'll see that the verdict is that the issue is dependent on how one reads the RFCs, so there Ipswitch is not obligated to "fix" this.
In this case, the problem is that there is a domain that is intentionally set up incorrectly, hoping that all mailservers will interpret the RFCs in exactly the same way. When someone intentionally sets up something incorrectly, they have to accept the consequences (in this case, they are claiming that their primary mailserver is a mailserver that never will accept mail). The RFCs don't cover that situation.
