Does anyone have users using the Mail.app in Mac OS X 10.2.6 against IMAP in Imail 8.0? Since I went to 8.0 I have had troubles with some messages not being fetched from the IMAP server. There is no consistancy to it and I did a debug of the IMAP session. It appeared in the debug that IMAP was telling Mail.app the proper stuff about the messages, but the Mail.app was saying that the message could not be downloaded. I saw some people talking about the Mail.app behaving this way when I did a Google search, but I don't see a reason why it would be. The only thing I can think is that Mail.app is written to strictly follow RFCs and maybe Imail is not following something to the letter? My .Mac IMAP account does not have problems fetching messages. Problems are only with my account on Imail.
To rule things out I made a ne user on OS X and same problem happened. I also made a new account for myself on Imail and even a new account did the same thing. Some messages just refuse to download. This is so very strange. I opened a ticket with my Apple rep but wanted to check with you guys if you had any complaints from Macintosh users. Tomorrow at work I'm going to try another Mac so I can be 100% sure it isn't my machine.
