We use peering, but with the high volume of incoming mail that these servers
receive, they couldn't keep up and forward mail to each other.

to using a linux server as a gateway running qmail.

right idea, wrong MTA! :))


The accounts are split alphabetically by the first character.. It works fairly well.. Looking at adding a 3rd server in soon..

With the Imail export to IMGate, no need for such allotment by alphabet. Imail tells IMGate exactly where everybody is.
