Thanks. Regular complaints about slow web mail appear here pretty
consistently, so I am most certain there is a problem. I think that it
was more pronounced on my system because of the transition from 5.x to
8.x. New 8.x users might just think it is normal behavior. I suspect
this is why you do not see it here as a subject more often.
Heck, 2 seconds was super. If it was 4 -10 seconds I wouldn't be
complaining. Ipswitch confirmed all my settings are fine. All other
functions are fast. But, 4-6 minutes? I don't know how often this
complaint has to show up here before Ipswitch confirms the problem and
fixes it. If MBX files were being parsed in 2-4 seconds before 4-6
minutes should not be acceptable.
This reminds me of the SMTP AUTH problem in early versions of Imail.
No one fessed up to a real problem, but it was fixed to late versions.
