Very helpful in deed, thanks Mike. I had no idea about the
"antispamseeder.exe" program. I'd have to say that my old Imail 7.0, printed
User's Guide defintely needs to be replaced. I'm just now realizing how much
there is to 8.01.

Thanks again,
Andy

You may have better luck putting your key words (viagra) in the phrase list

With IMail 8.01 all HTML Code is stripped out of the message then sent on to
Phrase and Statistical Filtering.

So Viag<!-- Comment -->ra in the message source would be seen as viagra to
the phrase list, making it much easier on you by not having to create rules
to skip around these tactics.

You may also want to start using the messages that are getting past the
AntiSpam check and "re-educate" it

There is a utility called antispamseeder.exe in the IMail directory that is
used for this purpose.
Take all messages getting thru and place them in one mailbox on the IMail
server
Then run the AntiSpam seeder on them

antispamseeder -spam -hMAIL.YOURHOSTNAME.TLD -mX:\IMAIL\USERS\SPAM\MAIN.MBX
(obviously you need to insert the correct mail host and the correct path to
the mbx file but it should help with the messages getting thru

hope this helps

I am using rules and the kill list, but I'll take reinforcements any day!
I've actually been curious to see what other are doing with their rules, so
I'll check it out and see what I can incorporate.

Thanks for the advice, Rick.

Andy,

Are you using the rules.ima file and kill.lst?

Your email to the list was caught via:
X-IMail-Rule: B~(venturedirect worldwide|viagra|vip lounge|virgin
girls):[EMAIL PROTECTED] Data- Viagra"

Your welcome to use the rules.ima/kill.lst here:
