You are correct scott I should of clarified that in my reply. I believe it is actually IIS that causes the probelm but havent proven that yet.
I had to quickly rebuild our Imail server after a lightning strike and after putting it in service I quickly found myself blacklisted for open proxies on several databases. after researching it I decided to block the port that was being listed as the open proxie. I also scanned my machine for other open ports researched what the ports were for and blocked all ports that were not needed by any services. I dont remember witch port was the culprit for the open proxy but here is a list of all of the ports that I blocked. 135 1026 1122 3306 dont block if running MYSQL 3330 -If i remember correctly this was my culprit 3331 3332 3372 3760 I now block these ports on all new boxes that I set up (note windows 2000 advanced server) and havent had any trouble since ----- Original Message ----- From: "R.
