Hello, I am still having a major problem. I have a Imail 7 server that about 50% of the time, when I telnet to port 25 I get connection failed. I get the same connection failed message even if I do it form the server and telnet to localhost 25. But them sometimes it goes thru. First I know people will say the NIC. It has been changed to 3 different ones to rule them out. Another weird thing is, I have zero problem at all telneting to port 110.
Machine specs: windows NT 4 SP6 2.4 Ghz 1 gig ram dual 80 gig HDs Intel 8255x-based PCI Ethernet 10/100 Any ideas would be very helpful. The server gets atleast 500,000 emails a day to it.
