RE: [IMail Forum] Iwebmsg hogs the cpu (100% usage)

Len,

     I have tried all what you said (disk allocation and defragging, stale file removal, etc..)

but the cpu usage on my server is still hogged cause of the huge number of domains as I said before.

Can you suggest a solution for my server, taking in mind that the number of domains still and will go increasing?

 

Any other suggestions are welcomed.

you very probably have shot yourself in the foot, as I expect the increased
disk space for 6000 directories and traffic will push your hardware past
comfort, unless you follow the most rigorous tuning and maintenance (disk
allocation and defragging, stale file removal, etc)

you don't defrag a hard drive, you defrag partitions. the partitions that
most need defragging: imail queue directory, all the mailbox storage.

you also need to remove stale files from the imail queue dir.

all of these points have been covered here repeatedly since you have been
this list.
