Sharon, It does not sound like an AOL problem. If your salesperson is using a VPN, AOL will not 'see' his port 25 traffic in order to block it. Is he able to use the other mail protocols (i.e. POP, IMAP)?
Yes, he is able to receive mail (POP) with no problems. Further, he is able to connect his laptop directly to our network and send/receive mail with no problems, which leads me to believe Outlook itself is not hosed. I did some basic troubleshooting, recreated his mail account in Outlook, still unable to send. Doesn't make sense that this works from Europe and not from Florida.
