Ditto on the pro IMGate wagon. Altho we're mostly an M$ shop, I went with adding a FreeBSD box with Postfix/IMGate. IMGate receives all mail and then forwards to my IMail and Exchange servers. I think it's a 166 Pentium, 128M memory. 3 SCSI drives- 4gig total. Love seeing those exe/zip virus emails cut off at the source.
Windows solution? What about another IMail box with Declude? Set up the same rules on both boxes and you won't have evil slime being accepted by your backup MX.
